# Documents

> Manuals, receipts, warranty cards, and policies — auto-collected and easy to find.

Documents is where eeva keeps your household paperwork. Manuals arrive automatically when you add appliances, and you can upload receipts, warranty cards, and insurance policies alongside them. You reach Documents from the Home tab.

## How documents collect

Documents auto-collect when you add appliances — the manual eeva auto-fetches lands here on its own. You can also upload things by hand: manuals, receipts, warranty cards, and insurance policies.

From the Home tab, tap the "Documents" card. Use the filter pills — "All", "Appliances", "Insurance", "Providers", "Uncategorized" — to narrow the list, and sort by "Recent" or "A-Z". If it's empty, you'll see "No documents yet!"

## Upload a document

  </Step>

  </Step>
</Steps>

<Tip>
  When you save a document to a specific appliance, you can flag it as that appliance's user manual so it shows in the appliance's Documents section.
</Tip>

<Note>
  When you upload a document, eeva can read it to suggest a title and date. Anything it isn't sure about is flagged "Please review" so you can check it before saving.
</Note>

## Manage a document

Long-press a document (or tap its ⋮) for actions: "Rename", "Download", "Share", and "Delete".

<Note>
  Documents that came from an appliance, insurance policy, or repair are managed from that item — open the appliance, policy, or repair to replace or delete the file. From the Documents library you can still edit its notes.
</Note>

<Note>
  Deleting a document shows an Undo for a few seconds, so you can recover it if you tap by mistake.
