# Receipts

> Attach a purchase receipt to an appliance so it's there when you need it.

Keeping a receipt with its appliance means proof of purchase is on hand for warranty claims, returns, or insurance. You add a receipt from the appliance it belongs to.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open the appliance">
    From the Home tab, open the appliance under "Appliances".
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Add Receipt">
    In the "Take action" section, tap "Add Receipt" to open the "Upload receipt" sheet.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Add the file">
    Under "Add a file", choose "Files", "Camera", or "Album" to pick or snap the receipt.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Name it and save">
    Enter a "Name" (required) so you can find it later, then tap "Save".
