# Subscriptions

> Track what you pay for each month or year so renewal dates never take you by surprise.

Subscriptions is where you track the services your household pays for — streaming, memberships, software, and the like. eeva keeps the renewal dates and totals handy so a charge never catches you off guard. You reach subscriptions from the Household tab.

<Note>
  This is for the subscriptions you pay for, like Netflix or a gym membership. It has nothing to do with billing for the eeva app itself.
</Note>

## Open your subscriptions

Go to the Household tab and open the "Subscriptions" section. At the top, the "Monthly" and "Annually" cards show your totals. You can sort rows by "Payment date" or "A-Z". Each row shows the service, its renewal date, the cycle ("Monthly" or "Annual"), the amount, and a renewal pill — "Renews today" or "Renews in N days". Tap the + to add one.

If you haven't added anything yet, you'll see "You have no subscriptions yet!" with the note "Track what you pay for monthly or annually. eeva keeps the renewal dates handy so you're not surprised."

## Monthly and annual totals

The "Monthly" and "Annually" cards add up what you're paying across all active subscriptions, so you can see your recurring spend at a glance. Pausing a subscription removes it from these totals.

## Renewal reminders

Each subscription can remind you before it renews — "1", "3", "7", or "14 days before". The row's renewal pill ("Renews today" or "Renews in N days") also gives you an at-a-glance heads-up.

## Pause or delete

Swipe a subscription to Pause, Resume, or Delete it.

### Pausing (archiving) a subscription

When you pause, eeva asks "Archive this subscription?" and explains: "The details will be saved but the amount will no longer be counted in subscription totals." This is reversible — you can unpause it at any time by swiping and choosing Resume. Pause when you cancel a service but might come back to it, or want to keep its history.

### Deleting a subscription

Delete is permanent. It removes the subscription and its details for good.

<Tip>
  If you might want a subscription back, pause it instead of deleting.
