# Search

> Find anything across your home — appliances, documents, providers, warranties, and more — from one place.

eeva has a global search that reaches everything you've saved. Open it from the search icon in the header of the Dashboard, Home, Maintenance, and Household tabs.

Search looks across your whole home: appliances, documents and manuals, providers, warranties, repairs, maintenance, recalls, insurance, subscriptions, and tasks. Whatever you type, matches from every one of these show up together.

## Run a search

    Tap the search icon in the header of the Dashboard, Home, Maintenance, or Household tab.

    The field reads "Find anything". Type at least 2 characters to start seeing results.

    Results are grouped by type. Tap any result to open it.

## Searching by room

Type a room name — for example "Kitchen" — and eeva surfaces the appliances in that room, so you can jump straight to everything you keep there.

## Recent searches and suggestions

Before you type, eeva shows your recent searches (up to 5), with a "Clear all" option to wipe them. You'll also see quick suggestions to get you started, like "All appliances", "Expiring warranties", and "Recent maintenance".

<Tip>
  Only 2 characters are needed to see results, so a short word like a brand or room name is often enough to find what you want.
