# Household access

> Invite people to your household, understand roles and access, manage pending invites, and remove members.

Everyone in your household shares the same home in eeva — the same appliances, repairs, and tasks. Household Access is where you invite people, see who's in, and manage invites. Find it in Settings → Household Access.

## What members can access

The invite screen spells out what a new member gets under "What they can do":

* **Appliances & service history** — view, add, and edit all appliances and repairs.
* **Tasks, notes, and calendar** — create, view, and complete household tasks.

An info banner on the Household Access screen makes it plain: "All members have full access to household data, appliances, repairs, and tasks."

## Roles

Each member carries a role badge:

<Columns cols={2}>
  <Card title="Admin" icon="user-shield">
    The household owner.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Member" icon="user">
    Everyone else.
  </Card>
</Columns>

All members share full access to household data; the Admin role matters for account-level actions like transferring ownership before deleting the account.

## Pending invites

Invites you've sent but that haven't been accepted show under "Pending Invites (N)" with an "Invited" badge. Tap a pending invite to cancel it — you'll be asked "Cancel this invite?".

<Note>
  If you try to invite an address that already has an open invite, eeva tells you "An invite is already pending for this email."
</Note>

## Remove a member

Tap a member in the Members list to open their info — name, email, "Last active", and "Member since". Tap Remove from household and confirm.

<Warning>
  Removing a member ("Remove this member?") means "They will no longer have access to your account but their data will remain." You can re-invite them later.
</Warning>

## The household list is empty

If no one's joined yet, you'll see "Invite your household" with "Add family members so everyone can track appliances, log repairs, and stay on top of household tasks." Tap Send an invite to get started.

## Can I give someone limited access?

No. All members have full access to household data, appliances, repairs, and tasks. The only distinction is the Admin (owner) role.
