# Track your contacts (People Tab)

**Keep track of everyone connected to your household — family, doctors, teachers, service providers, and more.**

The People tab is where all your household-related contacts live. It's not trying to replace your phone's contact list — it's focused on the people connected to your home and family life, with all the relevant tasks, events, and notes linked right to them.

## Contact types

People in eeva are organized by type, so you can quickly filter to find who you need:

## What you see on a contact

Tap a contact to see their detail view, which includes:

* **Contact info** — Phone, email, address, and any notes you've added
* **Linked DENTs** — Tasks, events, notes, and documents connected to this person

This is where it gets useful. When you tap your plumber's contact, you see every task you've assigned to them, every appointment, and the invoice PDF you uploaded. No more digging through emails or texts.

## Adding contacts

1. Go to the **People** tab
2. Tap to **add a new contact**
3. Choose the contact type (Family, Medical, Provider, etc.)
4. Fill in their info — name, phone, email, whatever you have
5. Tap 'Save'

You can also import contacts from your phone to speed things up.

## Linking contacts to items

When you create a task, event, or note, you can link it to a contact. This works the other way too — when you're viewing a contact, you'll see everything linked to them.

***For example:***

* Create a task "Annual checkup" and link it to your doctor
* Create a note "Lesson schedule" and link it to your kid's piano teacher
* Upload an invoice and link it to your contractor

Over time, each contact becomes a mini-hub of everything related to that person.

<Tip>
**Tip:** Add your most-used service providers first — plumber, electrician, house cleaner. Next time something breaks, you won't be scrolling through your phone's contact list trying to remember who you called last time.
